“For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,” Colossians 1:13
This is how Paul describes Salvation to the Church in Colossae. What a graphic picture! We were in prison and enslaved to Satan himself; with no hope! But God came. He opened the door, broke the chains, and brought us out. But it didn’t stop there. He didn’t leave us to ourselves. He brought us to “the kingdom of His beloved Son”, to live under His rule and authority. And Paul sees himself in this story. Notice the word “us”.
Is this how you see “your” Christianity? Does this describe your “former” state? Are you part of this “new” Kingdom and does Christ “rule” over you? This is what it means to a Christian and to “Believe” in Christ!
