Larry Norman: Street Level

Sophomore Effort:

This is Larry Norman’s Sophomore Effort, Street Level. It is a unique Album with Side A being Live, and Side B, a studio recording. It also came in many different versions with Side B differing from year to year. This would be the Album I first hear back in 1974 at the Jesus Store. We carried it and had a Demo that my partner, Ray McMahon raved over. He was 15 years older than i was and had been a real life Hippy. He has grown up listening to all the early Rock and Roll artists that sang about “the way”. Larry Norman is said to have invented the One Way sign; the Hand with Index finger extended upward. He resonated with Norman’s ‘matter of fact” relationship with God through Jesus, who was “The Way”! Listen and see if this resonates with you.
