“But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary of doing good.” 2 Thessalonians 3:13
As you read through Paul’s Letters to the Thessalonians, you are struck by the contrast between those noted for their love, perseverance, and obedience, and those for their “unruly and undisciplined” lives. He even exhorts the faithful to “keep away” from these “busy bodies”.
In a similar vein, we have those in today’s church, marked by a lifestyle “unlike Christ” and more akin to the World’s. Paul’s directive? “Don’t grow weary in doing good”! Don’t lower the behavioral bar and “be like everyone else”. He exhorts us to follow his and Timothy’s example. In other words, Be Like Christ!
