“What advantage does man have in all his work which he does under the sun?” Ecclesiastes 1:3
Ecclesiastes is a Great Book for today’s Man. Solomon gives him many things to consider, including this Question. As you read through the Book, he seeks to answer it with different examples; things that he tried and did. His answer? Initially, “Vanity of Vanities, All is Vanity” because ultimately, without God at the center of our lives and without an Eternity in Heaven or Hell at the End, we will give the same answer. Sad, but True!
But by the end of the Book, this is where he settled; “The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.”
…and this is where The Gospel comes in!
